Chess Clock

By , About.com Guide

Definition: Chess games are often timed, especially in tournament play. This is done through the use of a device which contains two attached clocks, known as a chess clock. By pressing a button on their side of the chess clock after they make a move, a player stops his clock and simultaneously starts the opponents clock. Chess clocks are available in both analog and digital styles.
