Elsewhere on the Web : Software for Chess Organizers

Saturday July 8, 2006
While preparing the recent article So You Want to Organize Chess Tournaments?, we found many Web pages promoting software to help organizers automate their clerical tasks. One of the most interesting was Tournament Director, not only because of its own product, but also because it offers a page of Useful Links to other packages like, Chess Club Manager, SwissSys, and WinTD. • 'The key distinguishing factor between these software packages and Tournament Director for Windows is that [our product] is specifically designed to work with ECF [English Chess Federation] grading and pairing system.' • We like their approach : if our software isn't what you need, here are some other products which might interest you. Unlike chess, it's a win-win for everyone.
